John Gendall is a New York-based journalist and communications consultant specializing in architecture. His writing has been published widely, including in Artforum, Architectural Digest, T: The New York Times Magazine, and on newyorker.com.
He is the Director of Communications at 1100 Architect, and he has provided communications counsel to a range of clients, including Harvard Graduate School of Design, Rebuild by Design, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
He teaches architectural communication at Pratt Institute, and he has been a visiting instructor at Harvard Graduate School of Design and Parsons The New School for Design. He holds a Master in Design Studies with Distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Design.
