Revisionist History: Fondazione Prada (Artforum)

If preservation and practice have long worked to different ends, this dichotomy seems less and less tenable today, forcing contemporary architects to actively rethink preservation's relation to their field.

Koolhaas's Fondazione Prada willfully adopts preservation as a strategy—a pointed refusal of the tabula rasa that has long been understodd as architecture's ideal starting point.
